ABOUT

Long before I knew what I wanted to do I had a camera in my hand

In high school, we had a darkroom and I enjoyed spending time walking around the school grounds with a camera around my neck.

learning to develop film and create black and white prints was like magic…

Doing photography, as a profession, wasn’t even a concept I could identify with at the time…

It wasn’t until a long time later, after going off and working in kitchens and then spinning the wheel on a roulette table, that I returned to the familiarity of taking pictures again,

As fate would have it, a friends was leaving a full time position as an assistant in a busy commercial studio and I took his place, it wasn’t even a year later I left the studio and continued assisting freelance and over the next few years I worked for all the well known advertising and fashion photographers in Sydney on every conceivable type of job.

A few years later and I was venturing out on my own to shoot my own work for my own clients embarking on my career as a commercial photographer having garnered a priceless education working with and learning from the very best photographers in many different fields of photography, even working closely with the photographer who shot all of Guy Ritchie’s films.

Fast forward a few more years and after being burnt out and completely creatively unsatisfied with where I was at, Covid happened, which allowed me to take a a step back from where I was and think long and hard about the type of work I wanted to be creating.

This has lead to now shooting unit stills for film and television, I love being on set and collaborating with crew and cast to create something special.

Not only shooting onset stills and behind the scenes photos but also now shooting motion and interviews for electronic press kits.

In a way it has been a return to the type of work I dreamt about creating when I first started out in photography many years ago..

I could not be happier, it would be great work together
